Pradeep Jena pips Asit Tripathy to be chosen as President of Bhubaneswar Club

Pradeep Jena emerged triumphant in the prominent Bhubaneswar Club elections, protecting the position of President on Sunday.

Jena beat Asit Tripathy in a carefully objected to fight. The governmental race experienced an effective face-off in between 2 previous Chief Secretaries, Asit Tripathy and Pradeep Jena.

Based on sources Bhubaneswar Club experienced the most difficult electoral fight in between 2 prospects for the president post because its creation in 1949.

Based on sources, Jena won the acutely objected to election by a margin of 18-20 votes.

“I would like to thank all the members of the club. I could not make a big campaign. I was only able to contact all the members telephonically. I had called nearly 1600 people. I believed in directly approaching the people and left it to them. I respect the decision of all the members,” stated Jena after winning the election.

“As per my promise, the chamber of the club president will have a glass door as others from outside will be able to see what the president is doing inside. We will pass it in the executive body meeting that president and secretaries could not be elected more than twice in their lifetimes. I will also ensure transparency and acountability. We will also focus on the other activities of the club,” he included.
