CDS Chauhan: India advancing in area, cyber warfare abilities

Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, on Friday stated that policy efforts were being considered the advancement of devices for area and cyber warfare.
Dealing With the East Tech seminar in Ranchi, he stated that tactical choice of weapons was critical which research study and advancement (R&D) requires to be examined to fit modern-day requirements.
“There is a need to expand the defence manufacturing base, and artificial intelligence and other modern techniques have to be explored,” he stated.
India late however steady in indigenisation
Gen Chauhan stated that although the indigenisation of defence production began late in India however the nation is on the best track.
He stated that the goals of the Centre’s Act East policy, and self-reliance in defence can be understood through the active involvement of states such as Jharkhand and West Bengal.
“War is science and an art. A warrior needs to be creative and innovative in the present context,” he included.
