Apple is hosting its “awe dropping” event on September 9 to unveil new iPhones and watches. The brand hasn’t revealed the names of the products it will introduce at this event, but we expect the tech giant to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup along with the Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and new Watch SE. Last year’s Watch Series 10 didn’t come with a design overhaul, and things might not be different with the Watch Series 11 either. However, there will be one upgrade in the display department.

According to Bloomberg, the Apple Watch Series 11’s screen will be brighter than the Watch Series 10’s 1.96″ display, having a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, with Apple planning to shuffle the band and color offerings for the Watch Series 11 and address the chipping issues that the Watch Series 10’s Jet Black color model had.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3, which will succeed the Watch Ultra 2 launched in 2023, is rumored to pack a display as big as the Watch Series 10’s, if not bigger. The Watch Ultra 2 came with a 1.92″ screen.
