Aam Aadmi Party’s nationwide convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday required that India enforce greater tariffs on United States imports, asserting that the entire nation will support this choice.

Attending to an interview, Kejriwal declared that the BJP-led Central federal government has actually chosen to waive off 11 percent responsibility on cotton imported from the United States, which might affect business of regional farmers here. There was no instant response from the Central federal government.

The AAP chief stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s choice might show destructive for India’s farmers. He required that the federal government enforce greater tariffs on United States imports. “Other countries did not bow down. They imposed higher tariffs. We should also impose higher tariffs. If the US is imposing 50 per cent tariffs, we should double the tariffs to 100 per cent.

The whole country will support this decision. No country can afford to offend India. We are a nation of 140 crore people,” he stated.
