The invoices of loose cotton at presses and spinning mills in the Madras Presidency, from the 1st February to the 15th August, totaled up to 4,53,467 bales of 400 pound. lint, versus a price quote of 552.700 bales of the overall crop of 1924-1925. The invoices in the matching duration of the previous year were 356,578 bales: 105,443 bales primarily of pushed cotton were gotten at spinning mills and 253,575 bales were exported by sea while 3,293 bales were imported by sea primarily from Bombay.
