In a scene straight out of an adventure movie, a group of young men in the Eta district stunned the internet when they rescued a crocodile that had wandered into their village and then transported it on a motorcycle.
Flood Brings an Uninvited Guest
Heavy monsoon rains had caused nearby rivers to swell, sending floodwaters into low-lying villages. Along with the murky currents came an unexpected visitor, a full-grown crocodile, stranded amid homes and narrow lanes.
Crocodile’s Bike Ride
Rather than panic, a group of boys took charge. Armed with nothing more than ropes and raw courage, they managed to corner the reptile and securely tie its powerful jaws shut.
However, instead of calling the wildlife officials and seeking professional help, the youths opted for something far more unconventional. They lifted the crocodile onto a motorcycle. Balancing the heavy reptile across the bike’s seat, two youths carefully gave a bike ride to the crocodile to its home, to the river. Eyewitness videos show curious onlookers following in awe as the bizarre convoy made its way to the water.
Safe Return to the Wild
Once at the riverbank, the rescuers untied the crocodile’s mouth and nudged it back into the muddy current. The animal quickly disappeared beneath the water, free once again.
While the stunt earned them applause online, forest department officials have, reportedly, urged villagers to seek trained help in such situations, citing the risks of handling wild animals.
Though the source of the video couldn’t be verified, it is shared on X by Sachin Gupta. Apart from garnering massive views and likes, the video has been shared by several users.
