Murder in Cheung Chau

     Police are investigating a murder case happened in Cheung Chau this morning (April 27) in which a 52-year-old man died.
 
     At around 11am, Police received a report that two men had a dispute on 120 Tai San Back Street. One of them collapsed after being suspectedly assaulted by another man with hands. The assailant then fled away.

     Police officers sped to the scene and found the 52-year-old man lying unconsciously on the ground. Sustaining head injuries, he was rushed to Cheung Chau Hospital and was certified dead at 11.53am.

     After initial investigation, Police arrested a 43-year-old man in Pak She San Tsuen. He is being detained for enquiries.

     Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.

     Investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of Marine is underway.
