Dr. Blondella James Brown is married to Carl D. Brown, pastor of the Fountain of Life Church in Houston. She has two sons and three granddaughters. Dr. Brown earned a bachelor of arts degree from San Diego State University, a masters degree in divinity from Interdenominational Theological Center, Atlanta, and a doctor of ministry degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology. She taught at C.H. Mason Bible College and Institute.

A retired school teacher, Dr. Brown is a certified volunteer chaplain for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She served as the secretary to the Certification Board of the Church of God in Christ, First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
