Fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau yesterday (March 26) which a 46-year-old Mainland man died.
At about 10pm, a medium goods vehicle driven by the 46-year-old Mainland man was traveling along San Sham Road towards Yuen Long. When approaching a roundabout at San Tin Public Transport Interchange, it reportedly lost control and rammed into iron railings. After the impact, the vehicle maintained its course for about 100 meters and eventually stopped after it rammed into iron railings again.
The driver was trapped inside the compartment and rescued by firemen. Sustaining no apparent injuries, he was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead today at 0.00am.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
