Alleged fuel shortage another media campaign of the opposition ibn Venezoala

The alleged fuel shortage in Venezuela is part of a media campaign of the opposition to generate chaos in the country, because local refineries are producing fuel normally, said the oil expert David Paravisini.

“I have no information of anything irregular happening, about any refinery stopped or problems with the transportation. Indeed, I think that the storm was created by an opposition campaign. It is a crazy thing released by some opposition sectors, especially Globovision [private Venezuelan television channel],” he expressed.

In recent statements, the Minister of People's Power for Energy and Petroleum, Rafael Ramirez, guaranteed the fuel supply.

He said that, since Thursday afternoon, the Metropolitan Area of Caracas will have all the gas stations supplied with fuel to attend users needs.

Ramirez explained that between Monday and Tuesday of this week, there was a little incident on fuel distribution, which was solved in the short term, and there is an operation underway to supply and satisfy local market.

Moreover, Paravisini informed that next May 28 there will be held in Vienna a meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), to evaluate the measures approved last year to rise oil prices.
