Amy Coddington Promoted to Account Executive at RT Environmental & Construction Professional

 Amy Coddington has been promoted to account executive within the Environmental and Construction Professional Practice of RT Specialty (RT ECP). Canada – Wayne Eyre Promoted from the rank of Lieutenant-General to General, continues to Act as Chief of the Defence Staff

Today, Wayne Eyre was promoted from the rank of Lieutenant-General to General.

The small promotion ceremony, attended by General Eyre and his spouse Jennifer, was presided over by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada.

General Eyre will continue to lead the Canadian Armed Forces and work on important priorities for national defence moving forward.

General Wayne Eyre grew up on a farm near Wadena, Saskatchewan, and spent his high school years in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He joined Army Cadets at age 12 and has been in uniform ever since.

General Eyre attended Royal Roads Military College and Royal Military College.  Upon commissioning in 1988, he joined 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), and has had the great privilege of spending the majority of his career in deputy command or command positions, including commanding 3rd Battalion PPCLI, 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, 3rd Canadian Division and Joint Task Force West followed by Deputy Commanding General – Operations for XVIII (US) Airborne Corps, Deputy Commander Military Personnel Command, and for a short time Commander of Military Personnel Command.  He became Commander Canadian Army on 20 August 2019 and Acting Chief of the Defence Staff in February 2021.

Operationally, General Eyre deployed to Cyprus, Croatia, Bosnia and to Afghanistan twice with the Canadian Operational Mentor and Liaison Team in Kandahar advising 1-205 Afghan National Army Brigade in combat, and as the Commanding General of NATO Training Mission – Afghanistan. More recently, he was the first non-U.S. Deputy Commander of United Nations Command Korea in its 69 year history, and as such is the most senior Canadian officer ever permanently stationed in the Asia-Pacific region.  Among various domestic operations, he was involved in the 1997 Manitoba floods, the 1998 British Columbia forest fires, 2010 G8 Summit, and commanded the military response to both the 2015 Saskatchewan wildfires and the 2016 Fort McMurray evacuation.

Gina Bernardo Promoted to Account Manager at RT Environmental & Construction Professional

 Gina Bernardo has been promoted to account manager within the Environmental and Construction Professional (ECP) Practice of RT Specialty. Since joining the team in 2019, Bernardo has supported the practice’s production teams by creating sales proposals, developing coverage assessments and providing various account management tasks.

“Gina has dedicated herself to learning the industry and serving the best interests of our nationwide network of customers,” says Tim Farrell, senior vice president at RT ECP. “In addition to helping our newer employees navigate the complex nature of this field, she has also worked with senior staff to enhance the renewal submission processes of retail brokers and underwriters – an effort that will improve efficiencies at every level.”

Prior to joining the team, Bernardo served as an intern at Hartree Partners LP in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing, NJ, where she was a member of the Women’s Basketball team.

A resident of Brick, NJ, Bernardo is also an active volunteer with organizations such as the Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf in Ewing, NJ and the Church of Visitation.
