U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick Visited the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Lower Bucks Hospital

Lower Bucks Hospital’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic has been vaccinating Bucks County residents for the past couple of months. The hospital is currently servicing residents in the 1A phase group for COVID-19 vaccinations, which includes those most at-risk of illness, such as health care workers and Pennsylvanians living in long-term care facilities, persons age 65 and older, and those age 16-64 with high-risk conditions.

Lower Bucks Hospital has been administering between 950-1,200 vaccines a week in the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.

However, last Thursday March 18th the State decided to cut off Lower Bucks Hospital for vaccines to hold a mass vaccination site that can offer 3,000-6,000 doses a day.

Lower Bucks Hospital has assumed a major role in the vaccine rollout that began nearly two months ago, and the Hospital has been administering around 350-400 vaccines a day in partnership with the County.

“We were overwhelmed with the efficiency of the clinic and the number of grateful community members thanking Chief Nursing Officer Lea Rodriguez and her team for their incredible work and creating such a warm, welcoming atmosphere reflective of our community. Lower Bucks Hospital is an effective and community-focused operation that serves a large minority and 1A demographic. Cutting Lower Bucks Hospital from the vaccine program goes against the distribution plan outlined by the State. Omitting Lower Bucks Hospital from the vaccine program and forcing residents to travel great lengths to a regional mass vaccination site is ineffective, inconvenient, and counterproductive. We need more vaccines, continue to utilize our existing infrastructure, like Lower Bucks Hospital, and an easily accessible vaccination plan that puts our residents first. We will continue to be determined in our joint mission of advocating for a county-first approach for vaccine distribution, rather than mass regional vaccine sites,” said Rep. Fitzpatrick.

Currently, Lower Bucks Hospitals administration has calls to local political figures to help them continue their efforts in offering the first and second doses. The Hospital is in hopes of reversing the decision. Lower Bucks Hospital offers easy access to the elderly population, and emergency services are available if anyone has an adverse reaction.

“We are committed to serving our communities and our goal is to continue vaccinating our neighbors,” said Lea Rodriguez, CNO of Lower Bucks Hospital.

Information changes daily and the community is encouraged to frequently check the Bucks County Department of Health website for COVID-19 and vaccine updates.

Lower Bucks Hospital strongly advises everyone to continue to take steps to limit the spread of the virus and reduce strain on our healthcare workers. These actions include wearing a mask when leaving home, limiting interactions with those outside your immediate household, keeping a physical distance of at least six feet apart, avoiding non-essential travel, and getting the COVID-19 vaccine when you are eligible.

Road Warrior Foundation Announces Winner of Free Can-Am Spyder Three-Wheel Vehicle

(1888 PressRelease) Contest designed to offer adventure therapy to a deserving veteran.

PITTSBURGH – When people think of therapy, they often imagine a couch and conversation. Road Warrior Foundation, however, has another definition in mind: adventure. The idea behind adventure therapy is that getting outside and soaking in the beauty of the world around us can help clear one’s mind. One group who has particularly responded positively to adventure therapy is military veterans.

Road Warrior Foundation brings its adventure therapy mission to life by teaming with powersports giant BRP, maker of Can-Am on- and off-road vehicles, Sea-Doo watercraft and Ski-Doo snowmobiles. This year, they awarded Aubrey Hand of South Carolina, an injured veteran, with a custom Can-Am Spyder F3-S three-wheel vehicle and an all-expenses paid spot on a future multi-day Road Warrior Ride.

“We are extremely excited to announce that Aubrey Hand is the winner of the 2020 Can-Am Spyder F3-S and a spot on an upcoming Road Warrior Ride,” said Stephen Berger. “Aubrey exemplifies what adventure therapy is all about – getting out, pushing yourself, and seeing what you’re capable of – and we’re excited to see where his new ride takes him.”

Hand was severely wounded in Afghanistan and spent almost 18 months at Walter Reed Medical Center learning how to walk again after a leg amputation. A caring husband and father, he sets an example for his son and refuses to be defined by his disability.

“I didn’t think I’d be able to ride again after my amputation,” said Hand. “Winning this content will empower me with the ability to ride as I once did, without the limitations caused by my prosthesis. It’s another big step toward being who I was before and helping me see how far I’ve come and how far I can go.”

For the contest, individuals could nominate themselves or a friend or family member. The Foundation narrowed down the list of applicants to the top three nominees, giving the public the chance to vote on who should win the Can-Am Spyder. The other finalists were Gavin Goudie, who was severely injured in Iraq with a traumatic brain injury and moved to Colorado to aid his recovery, and Paula Graser of Illinois, who served as a military police officer in Iraq and now works as an ER nurse.

“The idea behind Road Warrior Foundation is to give veterans a chance to get out in a challenging environment to perform and succeed, which can help them overcome problems in their daily lives as well,” explained Berger. “This contest is just one way we’re hoping to give a deserving veteran a taste of adventure so they can leave their worries behind and have a healthy way to help cope with everyday stresses, and hopefully change their life forever.”

Kericho Gold Awarded Superbrands Tea

One of the world’s most liked tea brands, Kenya-based tea manufacturer Kericho Gold has been awarded the most prestigious ‘Superbrands Seal.’ Superbrands East Africa awards the Seal. Superbrands is one of the leading judges of branding globally, working for the past 27 years and more; and across 90 countries of the world. The Seal is a stamp of brand supremacy, authenticity, and top-notch quality.

Kericho Gold gets the coveted Seal due to the superior quality and vivid variety of tea leaves. The Seal proves beyond any doubt the genuine quality and the finest tea standards worldwide. Superbrands seal is a note of trustworthiness and respect, because of which customers willingly pay a premium price to consume such products. Selecting a brand starts with creating a voluntary board of industry specialists that assesses the brand and the products. The experts come from diversified backgrounds and form a panel or a board that is termed Brand Council.

The award of Superbrands Seal is a big achievement for the Kenyan brand. Launched in 2002, Kericho Gold is known for manufacturing fruity and herbal Kericho Gold tea that is caffeine-free and is naturally-made.

Speaking on occasion, Mr. Fahim Ahmed, the Managing Director of the brand, spoke about its commitment to offering consistent quality Kericho Gold pure Kenyan tea. He spoke about the brand’s single-focused work on manufacturing high-quality tea leaves and bags without compromising the standards, quality, nutritional value, or taste.

One of Kericho Gold’s key aspects is a distinct differentiation from other tea brands available in the market. The brand has maintained a distinct ‘striving for success’ culture. For Kericho Gold, getting the award of Superbrands Seal is a big milestone. With five tea variants and fifty-two tea blends, the company has progressed with a confident stride ever since its evolvement, almost two decades back.

The Managing Director mentioned that the brand has maintained its standards of making premium Kericho Gold tea bags and is committed to doing so till the very end. The company is known to have new standards internationally in the niche of excellent quality and taste.

The Project Director and Associate Publisher of Superbrands East Africa mentioned that the brand’s consistency and to offer such high-quality products to consumers were key reasons for the award going to Kericho Gold. With the Seal, Kericho Gold is now one of the 20,000 top brands of the world, which have received the Superbrand status.
