Recognised for manufacturing excellence across five facilities in its very first year of participation

V-Guard Industries Limited, India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics brand, has been honoured with the prestigious Performance Excellence Award at the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) 2025. In a significant milestone for the company, V-Guard secured this national-level recognition in its very first year of participation.

What makes this achievement especially noteworthy is that the recognition was awarded not to a single manufacturing unit, but to V-Guard as a corporate manufacturing entity, represented collectively by its five manufacturing facilities located in Chavadi, Kashipur, Perundurai, Sikkim Unit 2, and Roorkee.

The IMC RBNQA is regarded as one of India’s most respected benchmarks for organisational excellence. Modelled on the globally acclaimed Malcolm Baldrige framework of the United States, the award follows a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process that assesses leadership, operational excellence, strategic planning, customer focus, workforce engagement, and business performance. The awards are administered by the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an institution established in 1907 that has played a pivotal role in India’s economic development for over a century.

The evaluation process involved the submission of a detailed performance report covering V-Guard’s manufacturing operations and corporate functions during the initial consensus review stage. This was followed by an extensive on-site assessment and verification process conducted by the evaluation panel at the company’s Chavadi manufacturing facility. The assessors further engaged with multiple corporate functions before the final review by the Awards Committee.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Mithun Chittilappilly, Managing Director of V-Guard Industries Ltd, said., said, “Winning the IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in our very first year of participation is a proud milestone for V-Guard. This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to building a culture rooted in operational excellence, process maturity, and continuous improvement across the organisation. It is especially meaningful because it acknowledges the collective strength of our manufacturing ecosystem and the shared commitment demonstrated by teams across plants and corporate functions. As we continue to strengthen our manufacturing footprint and advance towards a unified One V-Guard Operating System, this achievement further reinforces our belief that sustainable excellence is built through collaboration, discipline, and a relentless focus on quality.”

At the core of this recognition is V-Guard’s proprietary VGMEA 2.0 framework, which integrates key principles from globally recognised business excellence models while aligning process maturity with measurable business outcomes. The framework has played a critical role in driving standardisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the company’s manufacturing network.

This recognition further strengthens V-Guard’s position as a future-ready organisation focused on delivering quality-driven innovation and operational excellence at scale. With a legacy spanning nearly five decades, the company continues to build robust systems and capabilities that support sustainable growth and superior consumer experiences.
