Odisha has secured investment proposals worth Rs 66,392 crore following a two-day investment outreach programme held in the Delhi-NCR region, with the proposed projects expected to generate around 54,135 employment opportunities in the state.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a series of meetings with leading investors and representatives of various industries during the investment drive, aimed at attracting fresh investments to Odisha.
As many as 38 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the two-day programme. The proposed investments span key sectors including manufacturing, textiles, engineering and aluminium, offering significant opportunities for industrial growth and employment generation in the state.
Following the successful Odisha Food Pro 2026 event in Delhi, the Chief Minister held one-on-one meetings with prominent investors and industry representatives from different sectors.
During the investment outreach, 46 high-level meetings were held, covering discussions with representatives of 208 industries. The meetings focused on exploring investment opportunities in Odisha and facilitating the setting up of new industrial projects in the state.
As part of his visit, Majhi also toured the manufacturing facility of a private company located in Noida and interacted with its representatives.
“Our industries, MSMEs, and skill development teams are ready to support a new white goods manufacturing ecosystem with Haier as the anchor investor. Today’s meeting with you is just a beginning. We will continue to engage with you. We hope Haier will find huge opportunities in Odisha with a long-term vision. Thank you for this wonderful hosting. The state government said the investment outreach reflects Odisha’s efforts to position itself as an attractive destination for investors and accelerate industrial development and employment generation.
