The teaser of Nagraj Manjule’s Khashabahis 3rd Marathi directorial after Fandry (2013) and Sairat (2016), was revealed on Thursday. The movie is based upon the life of independent India’s very first Olympic medal winner, Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav. He won a bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki in freestyle fumbling.
The teaser starts with a male whirling a rope around his head. We see him, in fast cuts, tilling the fields, pulling water from a well, training and engaging in battling matches. The identity of the star playing the lead character is not exposed. There is a shot of some British officers, Nagraj is likewise seen playing a character which appears to be the town headman. An ensemble of well-known stars like Chhaya Kadam, Jitendra Joshi, Deepak Dobriyal and Om Bhutkar is likewise seen.
Produced by Jio Studios and Aatpat Proudction, Khashaba‘s music is by Ajay-Atul. It is set up to launch in theatres on January 1, 2027.
Nagraj made his Hindi launching with the 2022 movie Jhundstarring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The movie is based upon the life of Vijay Barse, the creator of NGO Slum Soccer. Nagraj’s current work was the Netflix crime-drama series Matka King including Vijay Varma, Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar and Gulshan Grover.
