PM Modi commissioned 3 indigenously created marine ships: INS Dunagiri (stealth frigate), INS Sanshodhak (study vessel), and INS Agray (anti-submarine warfare craft). These vessels, constructed by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & & Engineers (GRSE), boost the Indian Navy’s abilities in maritime battle, hydrographic surveying, and anti-submarine warfare.
Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday commissioned 3 indigenously developed and developed marine ships-INS Dunagiri, an innovative stealth frigate, INS Sanshodhak, a study vessel (big)and INS Agray, an anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft.
The induction of 3 indigenously constructed frontline platforms will enhance the strength of the Indian Navy.
Developed by the India Navy’s Warship Design Bureau along with by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, and built by GRSE, the vessels represent crucial functional abilities throughout maritime fight, hydrographic surveying, and anti-submarine warfare.
Together, they show the Navy’s well balanced method to ability advancement, reinforcing blue-water operations, improving maritime domain awareness, and protecting seaside waters versus developing hazards, a release stated.
Dunagiri, the 5th Project 17A stealth frigate, is geared up with innovative weapons and sensing units, consisting of BrahMos surface-to-surface rockets and the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile system, substantially boosting the Navy’s fight ability.
Sanshodhak, the 4th Survey Vessel (Large), is developed for seaside and deep-water hydrographic studies and collection of oceanographic and geophysical information for defence and civil applications, and is geared up with sophisticated study systems consisting of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and Remotely Operated Vehicles.
Agray, the 4th of the Arnala-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, is geared up with light-weight torpedoes, native rocket launchers, and shallow-water finder systems to find and engage undersea hazards in littoral waters.
The 3 platforms show the growing maturity of India’s native shipbuilding environment, with native material surpassing 75 percent, the release stated.
