Deadly traffic mishap in Sau Mau Ping

Cops are examining a deadly traffic mishap in Sau Mau Ping today (May 13) in which a female passed away.

At 1.50 pm, a taxi driven by a 70-year-old male was taking a trip downhill along Chun Wah Road. When approaching a sitting-out location on Choi Ha Road, the taxi suspectedly went out of control and installed the pavement, tearing down 2 female pedestrians.

Sustaining severe leg injuries, the 38-year-old female pedestrian was hurried to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was accredited dead at 2.26 pm. Another 31-year-old female pedestrian continual leg injuries and was sent out to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state. The cabby experienced chest injuries and was sent out to United Christian Hospital in mindful state. A 62-year-old male guest experiencing chest and leg injuries, and a 62-year-old female guest sustaining chest, back and neck injuries, were sent out to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in mindful state.

The cab driver was apprehended for unsafe driving triggering death and is being apprehended for queries.

Examination by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is under method.
