Hong Kong Customs the other day (May 9) took 7 presumed unlawfully imported animals, particularly one sugar glider, one chinchilla, one mouse, one hamster and 3 guinea pigs, with an approximated market price of about $4,300 at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point.
Customizeds officers the other day obstructed an inbound 46-year-old female traveler at the Arrival Hall of the Control Point. Upon evaluation, the batch of presumed unlawfully imported animals was taken from paper bags brought by her. She was consequently jailed. The case has actually been turned over to the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for follow-up examination.
