‘Deeply saddened by the loss of our brave IAF pilot’: Rahul Gandhi condoles Pilot death in Tejas crash

Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, shared his “heartfelt” acknowledgements to the household of the Indian Air Force Pilot who lost his life in the crash of Tejas Aircraft at the Dubai Air Show on Friday.

He stated, “Deeply saddened by the loss of our brave IAF pilot in the Tejas crash at the Dubai Air Show. My heartfelt condolences to his family. The nation stands with them, honouring his courage and service.”

Earlier the Indian Airforce reveal the death of the Pilot after a Tejas airplane crashed and burst into flames at the Dubai Air Show 2025 on Friday.

“An IAF Tejas aircraft met with an accident during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot sustained fatal injuries in the accident. IAF deeply regrets the loss of life and stands firmly with the bereaved family in this time of grief,” a declaration by the Indian Air Force stated.

The IAF stated a court of questions is being made up to establish the reason for the mishap in which the pilot caught deadly injuries.

A fighter jet crashed throughout a flight presentation on the last day of the continuous Dubai Airshow at the AI Maktoum International Airport.

The aircraft decreased while carrying out an aerial display screen before a big crowd, regional media reported.

Khaleej Times reported that the fighter jet crashed into the ground not long after liftoff. Images and videos shared online program plumes of black smoke rippling into the air from the airplane on the ground.

The news outlet mentioned one eyewitness as stating, “As soon as the plane took off, it crashed. I am not sure which aircraft it was.”

Another eyewitness mentioned by the Khaleej Times stated that helicopters and firemens hurried to the scene. ” It is all clear now,” he stated. “Within about 45 minutes, the entire incident was taken care of. We are not sure if the programme will restart.”

Gulf News reported that the program was momentarily stopped, and visitors were directed back to the exhibit location. Rescue operations started right away, it stated.

The Dubai Airshow, among the biggest airshows on the planet, started on November 17 and is set to run till November 24. More than 1,500 exhibitors are showing at the program.
