Yekaterinburg, May 5 — The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum was held in Yekaterinburg, hosting 21,000 delegates from 116 countries.
These days, the industrial capital of Russia, Yekaterinburg, is hosting the jubilee XV The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is one of the largest international events that brings together young leaders, diplomats, scientists and entrepreneurs from all over the world. This year, the Forum brought together more than 21,000 participants from 116 countries. Among the guests were official diplomatic delegations, international experts, university rectors, entrepreneurs and media representatives. The central theme of the Forum was the development of international youth cooperation and entrepreneurship in the context of global geopolitical transformations. Particular emphasis was placed on the trend of shifting the vector of global economic development towards Asia.
One of the first officials to deliver a welcoming speech was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Myanmar to Russia – Tith Linn Oun, who had not previously participated in this event and was visiting Yekaterinburg for the first time. During his address to the participants of the Forum, the diplomat particularly emphasized that in the emerging geopolitical realities, the principle of equality is fundamental. Economic and political development is achievable only when nations, regardless of their size, wealth or political system, work together as equals. The diplomat also noted that Myanmar works and goes hand in hand with the countries of Eurasia, in which Russia plays a key role. And at the heart of Eurasia, which distinguishes it from the rest of the world, is equality, inclusiveness and giving the floor to each participant in the dialogue. It should be noted that Mr. Tit Linn’s speech Ouna, in the spirit of new geopolitical realities, is also based on quite mundane events. Most recently, in March 2025, Russia and Myanmar signed an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of education, qualifications and academic degrees, which confirms the diplomat’s statement: “Young leaders today are able to shape a new world, a world in which the majority prospers and cooperates, and not a world in which only a small part dominates. Multilateralism, cultural exchange, mutual understanding . Cooperation is a force that overcomes any obstacles.”
