Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of the opening of the company’s Cleveland branch.

Future Electronics was founded in Montreal in 1968 by company President Robert Miller. It expanded into the United States in 1972, opening its first American office in Boston.

The Cleveland branch first opened its doors in 1990, and it has built a strong, tight-knit and knowledgeable staff over the years, with more than half of current team members at Future for over 20 years. The team has witnessed dramatic changes together, both in the technology they use and the technology they sell.

“It’s amazing how many of our customers from 30 years ago we’re still serving today,” said Norm Lelless, General Manager of the Cleveland office. “Future Electronics’ commitment to delight the customer at every level has enabled the Cleveland branch to be a consistent performer.”

The Cleveland branch serves the needs of key local EMS manufacturers and OEMs. The marketplace is heavily focused in EMS, LED Lightning, Industrial and Motor Controls.

“We look forward to building on our success in this market by continuing to delight our customers.”

Robert Miller, President of Future Electronics, congratulated the Cleveland team on their 30-year milestone, and thanked everyone for their contributions to the success of the branch.
