JEE Main 2020 is one of the toughest engineering entrance exams which ensure you the admission to one of the premier institute of the country. JEE Main April exam was supposed to be held between 5th to 11th April 2020, but due to nationwide lockdown and the situation of COVID- 19, the examination is now scheduled to be held between July 18 to July 23, 2020.
The registration window of the examination will be reopened for the candidates, and they will be issued admit card soon on the official website of the examination at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Every year NTA conducts this national level entrance examination for admission of 12th passed candidates in B.Tech., B.E., and B.Arch courses.
The examination takes place in online mode and consists of 3 papers under it for B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan. The questions in the exam are of 2 types, i.e. MCQ and NVT. These questions are asked within the syllabus of JEE Main 2020.
Launch of dedicated Mobile App by Indian Government to prepare for JEE Main 2020
NATIONAL TEST ABHYAAS
The Human Resource and Development ministry on behalf of the Government of India has announced the launch of a dedicated Android app to help the students preparing for the JEE Mains 2020. The app has been launched by the Government to provide support to the JEE aspirants who cannot access coaching and study material to prepare for the entrance examination.
The app has been named as National Test Abhyaas, which is made available to all Android users. The ministry has assured the iOS users that the app will soon be made available to them as well. It has been designed after receiving multiple requests from the students regarding the preparation of competitive exams. The app will help students in preparing for the examination efficiently.
FEATURE OF ABHYAAS APP
● The app consists of full-length question papers of 3 hours duration for JEE Main 2020 aspirants.
● Students can attempt according to their convenience. After submitting the test taken by the students, live scores of the candidates, and the correct answers with explanations will be published over the app.
● The app will have question papers based on the same exam pattern, marking scheme, and the format of the paper.
● The paper will also have a timer running at the top right corner where students can keep track of their timings.
● Students can also record the amount of time they spent in answering a particular section.
NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY OF INDIA (NDLI)
Another portal helping students with exam preparation is the National Digital Library of India (NDLI). Students can directly login to the official website of NDLI and access the preparation module for JEE Main 2020. Currently, the website has over 3,300 items about the IIT JEE Mains study material. The study material includes solutions to the various examination papers conducted over the years. Students can get access to more information about the examination on NCLI’s portal. The study material and preparation modules can be accessed on the website free of cost.
JEE Main 2020 examination after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic is now scheduled between July 18 to 23. As of now, the National Testing Agency has also opened up the portal to receive new online applications until May 24, 2020.
The official National Test app Abhyaas and NDLI’s study portal can be very beneficial for the aspirants. This will help the candidates a lot in cracking the examination if they are in the race of cracking the exam amidst the time of crisis in nationwide lockdown and COVID- 19 pandemics.
This Artificial Intelligence powered mobile app for mock tests for JEE Main 2020 is launched by the Human Resource and Development Ministry to aid the preparation of the candidates. Students set to appear for exams by NTA (National Test Agency) can take mock tests on the newly launched mobile app. The app has been developed by NTA which enables examinees to practice mock tests for future exams like JEE Main, NEET under the NTA’s purview.
How does the app work?
● The app facilitates candidates’ access to high-quality mock tests in the safety and comfort of their homes since all the coaching educational institutes, schools, and NTA’s practice centres have been shut down due to nationwide lockdown.
● Students all over the country can use the app. They can access tests free of cost to prepare for JEE, NEET, and other entrance tests.
● One can download the tests easily; it can be completed off-line, thus economizing on internet availability too.
Students can download the app in their Android mobile phones or can access the app in their laptops or PCs and prepare for the exam free of cost. This facility provided by NTA in collaboration with the Government of India has proved to be of extreme help for all the aspirants of the exam and other competitive exams in the mid of the continuing lockdown in the country. The closure of all the schools, educational institutes, coaching centres, and NTA’s practice centres have resulted in the loss of studies and anxiety among students.
The study material uploaded on the site of NDLI has helped the students to finish their syllabus and revise all the concepts quickly. Also, Practice test papers uploaded on the Abhyaas App made the preparation much easier and smooth.
