Subiaco, Western Australia – March 3, 2020: With a dedicated dental team, the Subiaco Dental Practice has grown its presence in the region thanks to a different approach to its peers.

In growing its presence in Subiaco and Wembley, the practice, founded by experienced dentist Alex Yoong, approaches the patient with a focus on prevention rather than reactive dentistry.

“The way we provide dentistry and run the practice is a little different to others,” commented Mr Yoong. “We help a patient choose the dentistry that meets their needs and encourage them to select the best long-term option to restore their teeth to their natural state. ”

While reactive dentistry often stems from an emergency, such as a toothache, break or pain, Subiaco Dental Practice takes a preventative approach.

“I believe 90% of dental problems are preventable, typically through education, motivation, or early intervention. By assessing things properly, potential problems can be rectified before they happen.”

The dental team offers a whole host of services as well as teeth whitening, CEREC ceramic fillings, Invisalign, and orthodontics.

“We educate and explain the treatment options so patients can make an informed choice. We look after the person, not just treat a dental problem. Our philosophy dictates we recommend the best treatment to last ten years or longer.,” he added.

The dental team completes thorough assessments, and uses state-of-the-art technology, such as digital radiography and digital photography, to assist in identifying potential issues early.

They also tailor follow-up intervals according to each person’s dental risk factors. So rather than a six-month check-up, intervals of 3, 4, 6, 9 or 12 months are common.

The practice is also proud to have the support of local highly-skilled dental technicians. They use exclusively Australian Dental Laboratories including Omni Dental Ceramics, Subiaco, Hylton Rodkin Dental Ceramics in Malaga, Prestige Prosthetics of West Perth and Prostec, Wembley, to maintain the high standards of work demanded of.

The team does not offer quotes over the phone as they are unable to recommend treatment without assessing the surrounding teeth, the overall oral health, and the patient’s needs.
