Audiences in Hungary are all set to experience the magic of Indian Cinema yet again.

A Curtain Raiser Press Conference to announce the 5th Edition of the Indian Film Festival Hungary was held at Embassy of India in Budapest.

The Ambassador of India Sh. Kumar Tuhin and the Curator of Indian Film Festival Worldwide Captain Rahul Bali addressed the media and gave them insights into the festival.
Indian cinema is known for its vibrancy and colour that depicts great human virtues like love, bonding, romance and various emotions on a larger than life canvas through songs, dance and music. The iconic brand of Indian cinema that aims at spreading sheer happiness will be on display at Cinema Pink in Budapest from 7th – 13th October 2019.

As Indian cinema continues to charm the world with its charisma, The Indian Film Festival Hungary shall showcase 12 path breaking films from India which have been carefully curated by Captain Rahul Sudesh Bali and proudly organised by Indian Film Festival Worldwide under the patronage of The Embassy of India in Hungary.

Ambassador Kumar Tuhin said that the Indian Film Festival Hungary is an important festival in the event calendar of Embassy and has become a great platform for cultural exchanges and mutual appreciation of cinema between India & Hungary. He said that over the years the festival has been opening new avenues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and creating a euphoria about India in Hungary.

The Indian Film Festival Hungary is an endeavour to promote the art and culture between India & Hungary via Indian cinema and would be attended by Award winning Actors and Film Makers of Indian cinema like Raima Sen, Umesh Shukla, Rahul Mittra & Dr. Rajinder Chadha as well as some of the biggest names from the Hungarian Film, Art & Cultural Fraternities.

The film lovers and audiences in Budapest will have an opportunity to see some great works of creative brilliance by master Indian film makers by way of these Indian movies which will go a long way in strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.

The Curator Captain Rahul Bali emphasised that Cultural Cooperation always leads to Commercial Cooperation and Indian Film Festival Hungary has been a landmark festival promoting cultural cooperation and spreading the fragrance of India in Budapest via cinema.

The grand opening ceremony of the festival will take place on 7th October 2019 at Cinema Pink, Mom Park Budapest. The festival is supported by the Hungarian National Film Fund , Rajkot Palace, Curry House , Dasvir & Embassy of Hungary in India.
