Killeen, TX/2019: The Killeen Independent School District offers diverse opportunities for students to choose a career of their choice and excel at it. It is in furtherance of this objective that the school district is organizing a College and Career Night this month.
The School District comprises of numerous elementary middle & high schools, a Career Center and 4 special campuses. It caters to the needs of approximately 45000 students and consists of 7500 professionally qualified & experienced individuals to guide & assist the students. The district serves the communities of Killeen, Fort Hood, Nolanville and Harker Heights.
KISD College and Career Night
The event will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at the KISD Career Center, 1320 Stagecoach Rd., Killeen, TX 76542
It is being organized for middle & high school students and their families
The event is aimed at exposing students to a wide range of career opportunities by facilitating their interaction with representatives from renowned colleges and universities in Texas
Students can take a tour of the Career Center to learn about the KISD Career and Technical Education Programs
Students will also get a chance to meet military recruiters and representatives from local Chambers of Commerce
A breakout session on “ Unlocking the Secrets of Financial Aid” will also be held
The event is being presented by the KISD Guidance Services & KISD Career and Technical Education
