Kankatala brings its latest thematic collection ‘Queens of Andhra’ for an exhibition and sale of sarees in Bangalore. They have a wide range of hand woven sarees – each one hand picked by a family member which include Patan Patolas, Paithanis, Kanjivarams, Banarasis, Khadis, Kotas, Linens, Organzas, Gadwals, Uppadas, Ikats, Designersarees and more.

Kankatala deals in handpicked, handwoven sarees, was founded in 1943. They now have eight stores across the state.

Kankatala has a golden rule which they haven’t broken in the last 75 years. That rule is that each and every saree among the thousands they have, is carefully handpicked by a member of the family, with equal emphasis on quality, weave, design and fabric.

Some of their customers have been with them for generations, and this loyalty only increases their responsibility and accountability.

Anirudh Kankatala, the youngest director of the family business has finished his Bachelors in Finance from Penn State University in the US and has returned to join the family business in 2015. He is very passionate about handlooms and sarees. He heads the Branding and Digitalization of the brand and tookKankatala online with starting www.kankatala.com . This being the 75th year of Kankatala, he had launched the ‘Queens Of Andhra’ Campaign and Coffee table book. He has also kick started Kankatala Exhibitions outside Andhra Pradesh and expansion of the Kankatala store to Hyderabad.
