Water Digest awarded at the National Water Awards
The Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti organised the 2nd National Water Awards (NWAs) Distribution Ceremony, held on 11th & 12th November 2020 over a virtual platform.Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India.The chief guest for the event was Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Vice President of India. Hon’ble Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Shri Rattan Lal Kataria, Shri U.P. Singh, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Shri Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Dr. Anil Joshi, Environmentalist (Padma Bhushan) and other dignitaries also graced the occasion with their presence. Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Jal Shakti. The NWAs focuses on the good work and efforts made by individuals and organisations across the country towards realizing the government’s vision of a ‘Jal Samridh Bharat.’ Water Digest has been working for the last 15 years and will continue to do so with one goal on our hearts and minds; water conservation. Water Digest is a bi-monthly magazine which started in 2006 and has been working towards spreading awareness about water conservation and management. This comes as a great honour for the Water Digest team as it received the award on the maiden ceremony of the 2nd National Water Awards.
