Rover Provides Update on Cabin Gold Project Technical Report

Vancouver, BC, Apr 2, 2024 – (ACN Newswire) – Rover Critical Minerals Corp. (TSXV:ROVR)(OTCQB:ROVMF)(FSE:4XO) (“Rover” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce that further to its release of December 11, 2023, management of the Company are still working to finalize the technical report for the Cabin Gold project. An updated timeline for completion is anticipated to be mid-Q2-2024.

Judson Culter, CEO at Rover, states: “We are completing two technical reports for the Cabin Gold project. One report for the North American market, which will fall under NI 43-101 standards, and a second report is for the Australian market that will comply with JORC standards. We are seeking to sell an option to own for the Cabin Gold project. Under Rover’s management, the project has only seen approximately 4,500 meters of drilling. The project still has tremendous high-grade gold blue sky exploration potential. We’re interested in doing a deal that sees significant capital invested into drilling.”

Paddy Moylan, Rover’s President comments: “Cabin Gold has potential written all over it and the proof is coming! Our drilling has advanced the project with some big hits like 32m @ 14 g/t which was one of the biggest hits of the year in 2020. We are now focused on critical minerals. A new owner like a private equity group or a serious gold player will be able to focus on the Cabin Gold project and take it to a new level. We will retain an ownership interest so it’s a win for our holders in the short and long term.”

Technical information in this news release has been approved by Raul Sanabria, M.Sc., P.Geo., a Qualified Person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101.

Rover Metals to Change Its Name to Rover Critical Minerals

Rover Metals Corp. (TSXV:ROVR)(OTCQB:ROVMF)(FSE:4XO) (“Rover” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce that it is changing its name to Rover Critical Minerals Corp. The name change marks the Company’s successful pivot into critical minerals exploration, a process which started in January 2022. Trading will commence under the new name on Monday February 5, 2024. The Company’s shares will continue to trade under the symbol ROVR on the TSXV; ROVMF on the OTCQB; and 4XO on the FSE.

New ISIN/CUSIP numbers reflecting the name change have been made eligible. The Company’s transfer agent, Computershare, can be contacted with any further questions. Effective Monday February 5, 2024, the Company’s will be launching a new website with a new URL of www.rovercriticalmierals.com. Officers and Directors of the Company will continue to use their existing emails and gradually migrate to new email domain over the coming months.

Judson Culter, CEO at Rover Metals, states “Management and Directors at Rover are doubling down on our pivot into critical minerals. We remain resolute in our focus on advancing the Let’s Go Lithium project in the Amargosa Valley of Nevada.”

LGL Project

The LGL project is a claystone sedimentary lithium project located in a flat playa in an ancient volcanic lakebed. The claim block, which is approximately 8,300 acres in size, includes several limestone-capped butte-like outcrop formations. As released on September 7, 2023, a successful Phase 1 surface sampling program has returned multiple high-grade surface lithium samples. The clay body, as it’s known today, is believed to have very little overburden, and at the southern boundary of the project the lithium rich clay is exposed at the surface, or above surface in butte outcrops. Project infrastructure includes hydro power lines on site, direct road access, access to the Union Pacific rail line, and the nearby town of Pahrump with a readily available work force.

LGL Property Map

Regional Geology

The project is located within the prolific southwest Nevada claystone lithium jurisdiction. LGL is located just 12 km away from the historic Franklin Wells hectorite (a rare lithium smectite mineral) deposit. Mining at Franklin Wells dates back to the 1920’s. The regional geology of the Amargosa Valley is a basin-and-range structure with the Greenwater Range and Funeral Mountains to the west and the Amargosa Desert to the east. The Greenwater/Funeral mountains are fault-controlled with narrow interior valleys and are bounded by broad, coalescing alluvial fans. The Greenwater/Funeral mountains are composed of lower Paleozoic marine and metamorphic rocks. LGL is located in a large basin of clay rich Tertiary lakebed sediments, the major host rock for the other lithium claystone deposits in the southwest Nevada lithium jurisdiction. Lhoist North America has been open pit mining the specialty clays in the area since 1974.

Later-stage company comparable claystone lithium projects in southwest Nevada include Century Lithium Corp.’s Clayton Valley project; American Lithium’s TLC project; Noram Lithium’s Zeus project, and Nevada Lithium’s Bonnie Claire project. All of the aforementioned companies are later-stage mining companies, with a NI 43-101 resource calculation.

The Consultant’s roles and responsibilities include traveling through-out central Europe representing the Company at mining events. Further to its release of May 26, 2023, the Company is issuing 150,000 common shares in the Company for services provided by the Consultant. The Consultant is independent (arm’s length) to the Company. The share-based payment is for the payment of consulting services for the period of October 1st to December 31st, 2023. The Company has received approval from the Toronto Venture Exchange to make the issuance, pursuant to the common shares bearing the standard four-month regulatory hold period from the date of issuance.

Fire Rover Launches Early Detection Solution for Landfills, Wildfires & More

Fire Rover has launched an early detection solution for landfills, adding to its offerings of early detection and fire elimination solutions. The new solution, OnWatch, is a remotely monitored, wireless early detection unit that utilizes a combination of thermal cameras and Fire Rover agents to detect and identify deep-seated fires on the working face.

“Landfill fires can be severe and can put facilities, equipment and workers at risk,” says Ryan Fogelman, JD/MBA, vice president of strategic partnerships for Fire Rover. “Keeping this in mind, we designed OnWatch to work not only for landfills but for outdoor piles, construction projects, wildfires, overflow tip floors, windrows and more.”

OnWatch is a versatile, heavy-duty unit made for the harsh environments of landfills, including dust, wind, uneven surfaces and more. It is mobile, powered by both solar and wind and utilizes 4G to communicate with Fire Rover agents.

These features are important as many fires are not known to landfill operators until there is enough smoke in the sky to draw the attention of passerbys. This typically occurs during off hours, weekends and holidays when the operator is not there working the pile. If a fire is noticed during normal operating hours, the operator will add dirt or sand to the fire, essentially covering and suffocating the fire.

However, when these fires burn both on the surface and deep into the pile, many issues can occur including landfill liner damage. Landfill liners are tough, but too much fire, heat, suppressant agent and water can put the integrity of the liner at risk.

“At Fire Rover, our philosophy is the earlier you detect a fire, the better the outcome,” states Fogelman. “All of our solutions back that philosophy, including our thermal-only options, our boxless solution, our fire sprinkler replacement solution and now our OnWatch solution.

“As we continue to grow, our mission to solve fire problems in the industry becomes stronger and our solutions become smarter. We’re learning more about the needs and wants of the industry, and we’re continuing to think outside the box and design proven solutions to combat the ongoing fire challenges the waste and recycling industry faces on a daily basis.”
