Indonesia to Focus on Six Issues for the 10th World Water Forum

Indonesia will focus on six key issues for the 10th World Water Forum (WWF), jointly organized by the World Water Council and the Republic of Indonesia and set to take place from May 18 to 24, 2024, in Bali. Speaking at the WWF Kick-off Meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday, vice-chairman of the WWF National Organizing Committee Basuki Hadimuljono framed the agenda which will guide discussions over the next 15 months.

“In this Kick-off Meeting, we will lay out the major water resource problems, namely Water for Humans and Nature; Water Security and Prosperity; Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; Cooperation and Hydro-diplomacy; Water and Innovative Finance; as well as Knowledge and Innovation,” said Hadimuljono, who also serves as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

Measured discussion of the issues will be conducted through political, thematic, and regional processes, necessitating deliberation to find solutions, innovation, and implementation of action plans. The Indonesian government will be actively promoting the WWF agenda next month, during participation at the UN Water Conference in New York City from March 22 to 24, where it is entrusted to host both side, and special, events.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated his expectation that the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) yield concrete recommendations on overcoming the global water crisis. “These agendas must be addressed as joint efforts, through community participation and support from various stakeholders, as well as dialogue and partnerships between countries in the spirit of togetherness for the welfare of the global community,” said Jokowi.

The President, who received the World Water Council Delegation at Merdeka Palace on Wednesday, said he believed the 10th World Water Forum would be more than an ordinary conference and would produce concrete recommendations for action

Loic Fauchon lauded the support of President Jokowi and various Indonesian stakeholders in the water sector, as they prepared to implement the WWF. “We have to prepare for the next World Water Forum, which will be held in Bali next year. Together, while coordinating implementation of the 10th WWF, we will strive to provide fresh solutions, which will help to increase the access to water for billions of people,” Fauchon stated.

WWF is the largest cross-border event that discusses issues related to water resources and serves as a forum for sharing experiences and innovations to respond to various challenges in global water management. Indonesia has formed the National Organizing Committee for the 10th WWF, comprising various ministries and supported by experts and professors in the field of water-related issues from reputable universities in Indonesia.

The Kick-off Meeting, which was also the 1st stakeholders meeting, and attended by 1,300 delegates from 56 countries, aimed to provide essential information to mobilize and engage the stakeholders in the WWF process until the forum officially begins in March next year. The event will continue with regular pre-summit discussions and workshops to find concrete solutions, with solid innovation, addressing global water problems and setting the stage for a successful 10th WWF.

Gims 2023: Focus Exclusively on Qatar

WEBWIRE

The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) will be held exclusively in Doha, Qatar, in 2023. The event planned for Geneva in February 2023 will not take place, the “ Comité permanent du Salon international de l’automobile de Genève ” foundation announced today with regret.

“Due to the uncertainties in the global economy and geopolitics, as well as the risks related to the development of the pandemic, the organisers have decided to focus exclusively on the planning of the event in Doha in 2023” says Maurice Turettini, President of the foundation “Comité permanent du Salon international de l’automobile de Genève”.

Decision due to lack of predictability

The GIMS will be held exclusively in Qatar in 2023, the members of the Committee and the Foundation Board of the “Comité permanent du Salon international de l’automobile de Genève” decided today at a meeting in Bern. The original plan was to hold GIMS 2023 in two editions, the first from 14 to 19 February 2023 at Palexpo in Geneva and the second – a world premiere – in November in Doha, Qatar.

“We have done everything possible to ensure that we could host GIMS 2023 in Geneva in February. The enhanced event format and project had been very well received. But in the end, the risks overweighed the opportunities,” says Maurice Turettini.

A brand with a promising future

“Our team has worked very hard to ensure that GIMS 2023 can take place in both Geneva and Doha,” continues Sandro Mesquita, CEO of the Geneva International Motor Show, adding, “In these uncertain times, many brands are not in a position to commit to participating in a show in Europe in the winter. After assessing all the elements, it has become clear to the foundation that the 2023 Salon cannot take place in Geneva as planned. For the brands that wanted to participate in Geneva, the fans and the loyal visitors to our Geneva Salon, we regret that we had to decide to cancel this 2023 edition.”

World premiere in Doha

The first edition of the Geneva International Motor Show Qatar will take place in November 2023 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) as well as several other decentralised venues, and will offer many unique and spectacular driving experiences. “We are now fully focused on organising GIMS in Doha and look forward to confirming the dates and format of this ground-breaking event with our partners at Qatar Tourism shortly,” concludes Sandro Mesquita. The Qatar event is scheduled to take place every two years.

“Eat to Focus,” an Amazon Best-Selling Book is Free for One More Day (until 06/17/2022)

Best Seller Publishing announces the release of Anna Tai’s new #1 international best-selling book, “Eat to Focus: The Not-so-Obvious Natural ADHD Treatment Protocol to Reduce Hyperactivity & Impulsivity, and Better Focus and Memory Without Drug Side Effects.” It will be available for free download in the Amazon Kindle Store for one more day, June 17th.

Are You Looking for Natural ADHD Treatment to Help your Child So You Can Avoid The Dangerous ADHD Medications? If so, this book is for you. Understanding is Power.

Why is every doctor so quick to start ADHD medication, which has more severe side effects than blood pressure medications? Standard treatments for ADHD in children include ADHD medications, behavior therapy, counseling, and education services. Studies showed that only one in four kids with ADHD, who are on medication ALSO get psychotherapy.

“When you have high blood pressure or pre-diabetes, your doctor often gives you a warning first and suggests that you start eating healthier and exercising before starting blood pressure medication. Why don’t they do the same for kids with ADHD? Did you get a warning first to change your child’s eating? Or try psychotherapy? ADHD medications work by hijacking your child’s control center (the big brain in the head), which explains why the common personality change “not feeling like myself” is seen in ADHD meds. ADHD medications also cause stunt growth, sleep disorder, mood disorder, personality changes, facial tics, etc., and even death. I know some of you may not like to hear this, but someone has to tell the truth,” says author Anna Tai.

“In March of 2006, an FDA panel reported that 11 sudden cardiac deaths in children taking Ritalin and Concerta between 1992 and 2005. Both medications contain the stimulant methylphenidate. They also reported 13 sudden cardiac deaths among children taking the amphetamine-containing stimulants Adderall and Dexedrine. It makes me sad that parents and doctors are brain-washed by drug companies to think that ADHD medication is the only treatment for ADHD. ADHD medication is a synthetic (man-made) stimulant in the same drug category as methamphetamine (“meth”). Just because a doctor prescribes it does not make it safer or better. We believe that ADHD medications should be a last resort when all other non-drug treatments failed, just like other chronic diseases, like diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol.”

“Eat to Focus” by Anna Tai will be free and available for download on Amazon until the end of the day (06/17/2022) at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZQ572BJ
