Japan – Mitsubishi Corporation’s Sale of Exportadora de Sal, S.A. de C.V., a Salt Production Company in Mexico

Mitsubishi Corporation announced today that it has agreed on February 24, 2024 to sell its entire 49% stake in Exportadora de Sal, S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter “ESSA”), a salt production company in Mexico, to the Ministry of Economy of Mexico, the existing shareholder of ESSA (*). 

MC has operated ESSA together with the Ministry of Economy of Mexico since 1973, and with this share transfer, ESSA will aim to achieve further growth under the leadership by the public sector of Mexico. MC will continue to purchase salt produced by ESSA and provide a stable supply to our customers.  

(*) The transferee will be Fideicomiso de Fomento Minero, which is under the Ministry of Economy of Mexico.

Japan – NEC Corporation’s Aalok Kumar joins Asian Development Bank’s High-level Advisory Group on Digital Technology for Development

Aalok Kumar, Corporate Officer & Sr VP – Head of the Global Smart City Business, NEC Corporation, and President & CEO, NEC Corporation India, has been appointed as a member of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) High-level Advisory Group on Digital Technology for Development with effect from May 1, 2023. The eight-member group, consisting of global industry leaders in digital technology and academicians, is committed to further accelerating the utilization of ICT technology among ADB activities for developing countries.

Mr. Aalok Kumar takes on this mantle from Katsumi Emura, former NEC Corporation Fellow, one of the founding members of the group. Carrying Emura’s legacy forward, Aalok will leverage his decades of experience and wide range of knowledge in providing strategic counsel towards the optimal adoption of digital technologies for ADB to carry out its developmental work.

Apex Corporations of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organise a Loan Mela-cum-Awareness Camp & Toolkit (Sewing Machine) distribution


Apex Corporations of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organised a Loan Mela-cum-Awareness Camp & Toolkit (Sewing Machine) distribution today at ATDC Centre, Sanskar Ashram Complex, Dilshad Garden, New Delhi.


Several dignitaries including  Shri Prabhat Kumar Singh, Managing Director,  National  Safai  Karamcharis Finance  and  Development  Corporation (NSKFDC), Shri Rajnish Kumar Jenaw, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) & National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), Shri Vijay Mathur DG & CEO, ATDC and representatives from Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd.(SPMCIL) were present on the occasion.







During the programme, 70 Safai Karamchari candidates were distributed Toolkit (Sewing Machine) trained by ATDC under the SPMCIL-NSKFDC CSR project.  The candidates were also provided job letters. Apart from this, beneficiaries under the Apex Corporations of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment were also distributed loan sanction/release letters. 


A health-cum-awareness camp was also organised during the programme by NSKFDC, wherein health check-up of the participant beneficiaries was undertaken by specialists of eye, gynaecology and general physician. Free medicines and spectacles were also provided to the beneficiaries.   


 




Dignitaries addressed the beneficiaries and appealed them to avail benefit of the schemes being run by their organisations for welfare and development of the beneficiaries and raise their socio-economic status.
