Hospital Authority adjusts designated clinic and general out-patient clinic services

************************************************************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

The Hospital Authority (HA) spokesperson announced today (October 3) that the HA designated clinic for COVID-19 confirmed cases (designated clinic) located at Central Kowloon Health Centre will cease operation on October 6 and resume general out-patient clinic (GOPC) service on October 7. GOPCs will also resume some services which were partially suspended earlier, including the Sunday and public holiday and the evening clinic services, starting from October 7 (Annex I).

The HA spokesperson said, “Taking into consideration the recent epidemic developments and the demand for medical services from members of the public, the HA has reviewed the current operation situation and decided to cease the operation of a designated clinic, and to resume the partially suspended GOPC services in phases so as to provide appropriate treatment to patients in need.”

The seven remaining HA designated clinics and tele-consultations (Annex II) will continue to provide services and support for the confirmed patients in the community. Patients and their family members or carers can make an appointment with a designated clinic for an in-person consultation by calling the selected designated clinic during the booking and service hours or using the “Book Tele/DC” function on the HA’s one-stop mobile app “HA Go” to book an appointment for a designated clinic or tele-consultation service.

The spokesperson added that the HA will continue to closely monitor the epidemic situation and service demand, in order to resume more suspended services in accordance with the operational situation.

Rapha Clinic of West GA Announces $7,500 Donation from Southwire

Top Quote Funds to be used to support the overall operations and Health and Dental Clinic Supplies. End Quote

  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) March 26, 2021 – Rapha Clinic, a non-profit, faith-based charity serving uninsured people with their medical and dental needs in the West Georgia community is honored to announce a gracious $7,500 donation provided by Southwire through its community support funds. These funds will be used to upgrade and replenish health and dental clinic supplies, as well as will support the marketing funds needed for this year’s major fundraiser.

“The Rapha Clinic of West Georgia (RCWG) serves the uninsured at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty guidelines in West Georgia. A donation of this magnitude goes a long way in making sure that the clinic has the supplies that it needs to serve our neighbors in need,” said Dr. Bill Calhoun, Chairman of the Board for Rapha Clinic.

The donated $7,500 will be split up evenly between operations and marketing. The first half will support the general operations fund and will replenish much needed dental equipment. The second half will go towards the marketing needs for the annual fundraising event called “The Sound of Medicine,” which will take place on September 16, 2021 at Mill Town Music Hall in Bremen, Georgia.

Due to the continued concerns of the pandemic, the clinic and local ‘rocking doctors’ will host a hybrid event of in-person and virtual viewing, ensuring participant safety and while providing the opportunity to view quality music. The virtual attendees will be encouraged to tune in to either Mill Town Music Hall’s Facebook Live and YouTube Live or Rapha Clinic’s Facebook and YouTube pages. The musical performances will feature talented local healthcare providers and their family members. As a thank you for Southwire’s donation, they will be recognized as one of the top sponsors at the 7th annual Sound of Medicine concert.
