● Funds raised to be used for expanding the engineering team, investing in precision manufacturing facility and rapid prototyping infrastructure, and adopting technology and AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency.
● Company has raised this round to support a more integrated journey from engineering development and validation to scalable production
● Since its last funding round in 2024, Venttup has grown its revenues 5X to Rs 10 crore and has an order pipeline of Rs 30 crore
Industries 5.0 Startup Venttup has raised $3 million in a Pre Series A round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures.
Funds raised will be used for expanding the engineering team, investing in precision manufacturing facility and rapid prototyping infrastructure. The funds will also be used for adopting AI to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and increasing operational efficiency.
Venttup has raised this round to support its scale up journey and go from engineering development to scalable production mode in energy transition, defence, aerospace and space sector .
Sandeep Nair, Co founder CEO, Venttup, said, “India’s next phase of manufacturing growth requires strong engineering capabilities that can translate complex requirements into validated, production-ready components. At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing and scalable production through India’s capable MSME ecosystem.”
This funding round will help us strengthen our team, expand precision manufacturing capabilities and adopt technology to serve both emerging deep-tech companies and established OEMs. Our ambition is to build resilient supply chains for critical sectors while advancing our mission of ‘India for India, India for the World’—developing indigenous capabilities for domestic needs and making India a trusted source of high-value manufacturing for global markets, he added
Venttup is also setting up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, to strengthen its rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing capabilities. The facility will support precision machining, turning and sheet metal production for energy transition, defence, aerospace & space applications, enabling a faster transition from component development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.
Abhinav Singh Negi, Lead – Climate and Deeptech, Rainmatter by Zerodha, said, “When we spoke to our existing portfolio companies about their execution challenges, we consistently realized how difficult it is for hardware startups to find reliable partners who can manage the transition from validation to production. At the same time, the push for indigenisation across critical sectors is unlocking a massive wave of industrial demand that simply didn’t exist before. Venttup is uniquely positioned to fulfill this demand by acting as a dependable operational bridge. Their approach of combining an in-house precision facility in Bengaluru with a vast, quality-checked network of local MSMEs provides immense value to the ecosystem, and we are glad to support Sandeep and his team as they build out this critical manufacturing infrastructure.”
Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures, said, “We have been invested in Venttup since the seed round and have seen the speed at which the company is growing. This prompted us to co-lead this round with Rainmatter as we believe that as a pure play deep tech investor, we are the right partners for Venttup to help them scale. Precision manufacturing as a segment is going to experience explosive growth as the deep tech ecosystem matures. Whether the use case is defence or space, such companies would need a strong partner that can source precision equipment, speed up prototyping and provide a reliable supply chain and Venttup has already built for this and more.”
Venttup is expanding across four strategic business verticals – Energy transition & data centres, aerospace, defence & space systems, smart infra & future mobility and electronics, automation & smart manufacturing – to address India’s growing demand for indigenous engineering and manufacturing.
Across these verticals, the company aims to become a long-term development and manufacturing partner for OEMs, technology companies and emerging deep-tech businesses, supporting domestic supply-chain resilience and global sourcing from India.
Venttup raised an undisclosed seed round in 2024 and since then the company has grown 5X to ₹10 crore in FY2025–26, reflecting growing customer demand for its engineering-led localisation and manufacturing services.
Over the past 12 months, Venttup has added more than 15 blue-chip companies to its customer base and built a business opportunity pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure. This traction reflects growing demand for domestic component development, localisation and dependable manufacturing execution.
