The Wankhede Stadium is set for a two-week cricket carnival, with the Mumbai Cricket Association on Friday (May 15, 2026) revealing the components for Season 4 of the T20 Mumbai League and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League.
The twin competitions– including 30 matches throughout 13 days– will range from June 1 to 13, combining a mix of India stars, Indian Premier League and Women’s Premier League regulars, and Mumbai’s emerging domestic skill under one roofing system.
The guys’s competitors will start with a double-header on June 1, with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Bandra Blasters handling Shardul Thakur-led Eagle Thane Strikers in the afternoon, followed by Tushar Deshpande’s Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals dealing with Sarfaraz Khan’s Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs at night.
The competition is anticipated to display marquee names consisting of Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi, along with increasing stars like Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Musheer Khan.
The ladies’s league– a landmark addition to Mumbai’s cricket structure– will begin on June 2, with Saima Thakor’s Thane Sky Risers handling Sayali Satghare-led SoBo Mumbai Falcons.
MCA president Ajinkya Naik described the competition a “first-rate cricketing phenomenon”, while League Governing Council chairman Rajdip Gupta worried that the competitors would continue functioning as an essential advancement platform for Mumbai’s young skill.
