In a heart-warming celebration of courage, progress, and limitless potential, Growing Star’s Child Development Centre organized a special Talent Show for Neurodivergent Children on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day.
The event brought together children undergoing therapy for Autism, ADHD, learning disorder, sensory processing disorder, neuro developmental delay, global developmental delay and other neurodivergent conditions, offering them a stage to express themselves through singing, music, dance, public speaking and other performance—breaking stereotypes and captivating the audience and demonstrating their remarkable potential.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and emotion as several children, who had once struggled with developmental challenges, confidently performed in front of a large audience. Particularly inspiring were performances by former students of the centre namely Harini, Vedhanya, Vidhi, Swej, and special guest singer Devansh Chandra—who showcased remarkable transformation through consistent therapy and support.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Bandana Senapati, Occupational Therapist, Department of Paediatrics, JIPMER Hospital, Puducherry; Dr. Nazia Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Occupational Therapy, Jamia Hamdard; and Dr. Santosh Kumar, MOTh (Paediatrics), PhD, Director, Chetna Foundation, who applauded the efforts of the centre and the children.
