After months of speculation, the long-rumored duet in between the Blackpink star and Malik gets here Oct. 10.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Jisoo validated that she will partner with Malik on her approaching single, “Eyes Closed,” arranged to drop on Friday, Oct. 10.
Both artists revealed the track through Instagram, sharing an audio bit and art work captioned: “JISOO X ZAYN Digital Single ‘EYES CLOSED’.” The post rapidly triggered enjoyment throughout K-pop and One Direction fandoms.
The task marks a turning point for both vocalists: it is Jisoo’s launching partnership outside her solo and group work, while Malik enter the K-pop arena for the very first time.

Speculation magnified in July 2025 after Malik went to a Blackpink performance in New York with his child Khai and shared a picture from the program, thanking the group. Fans created the portmanteau “Zaynsoo,” which later on trended on X.
Response online has actually framed the cooperation as an unusual crossover minute, unifying Malik’s signature R&B-driven design with Jisoo’s melodic vocals. Some fans called it the vocalist’s “K-pop period.”
