The minister stated tomato supply to Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra had actually been interfered with due to heavy rains. “The government will take measures to ensure that tomato farmers do not suffer losses,” Atchannaidu stated in a news release.

According to him, tomato costs at the Rapthadu market are presently varying in between Rs 9 and Rs 18 per kg, while not more than 40 tonnes of tomatoes are coming to the Pattikonda market.

He stated 10 tonnes of tomatoes were provided to numerous rythu exchanges and included that procurement would happen at the Pattikonda market on Monday to provide 10 tonnes to a Chittoor-based processing system and 15 tonnes to rythu marketplaces.
