- Partnership with Voice of Slum showcases inspiring journeys from streets to schools as NGO celebrates 4th Foundation Day
KidZania Delhi NCR successfully hosted the inspiring “Kitaab Aur Khwaab – From Slums to Success” celebration on September 27, 2025, in partnership with Voice of Slum, to mark the NGO’s 4th Foundation Day. This three-hour event honored the remarkable achievements of children who have transformed their lives through education, moving from challenging circumstances in slum communities to academic excellence. Distinguished guests included Chief Guest Smt. Medha Roopam, IAS, the first woman District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar, along with WWE wrestler and Bollywood actor Saurav Gurjar, Additional Commissioner Sahil Seth, and Radio Mirchi’s RJ Sayema.
Voice of Slum, founded in 2016 by Chandni Di and Dev Pratap Singh, who have firsthand experience of life in slum communities, has been driving transformative change for underprivileged children. The program at KidZania celebrated school achievers, board toppers, and university pioneers, and featured cultural performances showcasing the children’s progress.
A highlight of the event was the announcement of “Basti Frames – From the Lanes to the Lens,” a new filmmaking studio developed jointly by Voice of Slum and Sinhayana Foundation. The initiative connects children with filmmaking, equipping them with skills in camera operation, video editing, and storytelling, nurturing creativity, and opening new avenues of opportunity.
