Telangana ministers and state Congress leaders on Wednesday staged a dharna at Jantar Mantar here, declaring a hold-up in the President offering assent to the expense that the state assembly passed for improving OBC appointment in education organizations and regional bodies.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy informed the media, “We want the President to clear the bills regarding these issues. We had sought an appointment with the President, but have not been given one. I think PM Modi and Amit Shah are pressuring the President not to give appointments to people from Telangana. Now, we all MLAs, MPs and people from rural areas have come to Delhi. We are pro-OBC, Rahul Gandhi is pro-OBC, but Narendra Modi is anti-OBC. We will see how to get this reservation. If Modi accepts it, then it’s good, else we will defeat him and make Rahul Gandhi the PM and get 42% OBC reservation.”
