London, UK – WEBWIRE

As a result of an unprecedented surge in voter engagement, coupled with an overwhelming number of requests from across the industry, World Travel Awards has listened to the market and is extending the voting window for Caribbean and The Americas categories to 14 July.

This extension aims to give nominees extra exposure to WTAs voter universe of international buyers, influencers and media, and create additional time to secure those votes.

After the closure of voting on 14 July, attention will turn to the paradise island of Saint Lucia, where the winners will be invited to attend WTAs Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony 2023 on 26 August at Sandals Grande St. Lucian.

Graham Cooke, Founder, WTA, says: I am delighted to report a record number of votes received this year for categories in the Caribbean and Americas, reflecting the buoyancy of the regions travel and tourism economy. We have listened to the market so taken the decision to extend the voting window for these regions to 14 July. Any members of our voting universe who have yet to cast their votes have a few crucial days to decide the WTA 2023 winners.

Saint Lucia, Official Host Destination of WTAs Caribbean & The Americas 2023, is blessed by nature and a destination of breathtaking beauty, with volcanic mountains magically rising from the clear blue sea, paradise beaches, lush forests and a rich cultural heritage.
