Nicky’s Gardens of Hope (Nicky’s Gardens), announced the appointment of Fred Waring III to the Board of Directors.
NGOH Holdings LLC (“NGOH”) and its sister entity Nicky’s Gardens of Hope (Nicky’s Gardens), recently announced the appointment of Fred Waring III to the Board of Directors. Fred will serve on the Board for both NGOH and Nicky’s Gardens of Hope Charity.
We are very pleased that Mr. Waring has joined our Board of Directors. Fred is a highly experienced real estate professional, who has been involved in real estate in New York for over 30 years, and spent the previous 14 years in the music industry touring the country. In 2002, Fred started the Fred Waring Foundation, which was formed to support orphans and street children in Cambodia.
Fred has been instrumental in helping Nicky’s Gardens move forward with our proposed site in New York State’s Catskills. Adriana Piltz, the Founder, CEO & Chairman of NGOH Holdings LLC and Nicky’s Gardens of Hope, said, “The first time I met Fred, was on the Catskills site. In trying to acquire just the right site, I’ve met a lot of Real Estate agents. There was something different about Fred. I was impressed that his first career was as a rock and roll drummer. But I was blown away when I found out that he created a non-profit Foundation to ‘build centers that incorporate housing, vocational training, manufacturing, farming and recreation for orphans.’ I thought that this was almost exactly what Nicky’s Gardens is doing… building dignified lives for the most disadvantaged. That’s when I knew that Fred had to be on our board of directors! I was thrilled when he accepted my offer to become a Director.”
Adriana went on to say, “With Fred’s experience and guidance, we will be able to deeply connect to the community and to other non-profits up and down NY State’s Hudson Valley. With Fred’s assistance and guidance, we will turn my dream of safe dignified homes for Autistic and ID Adults into reality!”
Aside from his personal accomplishments, Fred is the Grandson of Fred Waring, the inventor of the Waring Blender and the recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal, “In recognition of his contribution to enriching American life.” Making the world a better place just seems to run in the family!
