The authors book signing session was made possible by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet, which also exhibited his book at their exhibit book at LibLearnX.

After the successful release of the first volume, the author immediately published the second volume, which is this book with new photos and illustrations of various fossil examples.

Author Bio

Thomas F. McLoughlin studied at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. In December of 1979, he completed his Masters thesis in geology at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. He then joined the U.S. Department of Labor Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) as a geologist and coal mine inspector for 28 years collecting plant fossils in the coal mines and outcrops (road cuts) in Southwestern Virginia. He then retired after twenty-eight years.

For approximately twenty-six years, he taught introduction to geology courses at colleges in Cumberland, Kentucky and Wise, Virginia. He is currently a coal miner instructor and a coal mining consultant in Norton, Virginia.
