As per the National Blindness < Visual Impairment Survey (2015-18), Diabetic Retinopathy is responsible for 0.8% of visual impairment in the surveyed population in India. Globally, diabetic retinopathy is estimated to be responsible for 1.3% of visual impairment in the year 2015.
