Novotel Hyderabad Airport celebrated the AccorHotels sustainability initiative ‘Acting Here Planet 21’ anniversary. Accor is deeply committed to sustainable value creation and plays an active role in giving back to the planet and community.

Novotel Hyderabad Airport celebrated the program by conducting various activities which majorly focused on sustainable development. As a part of the celebrations,A 3 pit vermicompost has been set up around the premise to convert organic waste into fertilizer. To reduce food and kitchen wastage, NHA is promoting the idea of Best out Of Waste, under which team of chefs at NHA have put together an array of recipes that are made with the ingredients such as peals, stocks etc. The Amazing Soups, chutneys, spreads, and cocktails made by chefs were available for guests to relish at The Square and The Bar. A plantation drive was organized within the hotel premises to maintain a green cover.

The Team at NHA also reiterates their commitment to avoid food wastage by increasing the frequency of ‘No-Bin Days’ at the staff restaurant. Earth Avengers, an internal team formed to spread the awareness about sustainability development have put up posters that spread wakefulness about the impact of food wastage on the environment.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Ravi Khubchandani, General Manager, NHA said “We at Novotel Hyderabad Airport are working towards reducing food wastage and also relentlessly focusing on various ways towards sustainable development.
