Mercure Hyderabad KCP joined hands with the Nireekshana; a community-based NGO for “SoapforHope” project. As a part of this program, the hotel donated 18Kgs of used soap to Nireekshana. The NGO will recycle and reprocess the solid soap waste into new soap bars and distribute among the local community.
Soapforhope aims towards creating awareness among the under privileged community about personal Hygiene and cleanliness. The new soap is transported to communities in need and distributed, thereby eliminating waste, improving hygiene and creating new jobs.
Mercure Hyderabad KCP under “ActingHere planet21” an AccorHotels sustainable development program has focused on helping the local community by contributing their bit towards SoapforHope project. Every year, the hotel gives away its solid soap waste which is discarded and is of no further use. This time, the team also participated in making and packing of the soap.
