Meraki Dental Studio in association with Rotary club south ex organised a health camp on 27th Jan’19. A free consultation by various experts was offered for all. Dr. Harleen Gandhi Kalsi (Cosmetic dentist), Dr. Vinay Garodia (Ophthalmologist), Dr.kishore Das (Pathologist), Dt. Bipasha Das (Nutritionist) and Dr. Sirisha Singh (Dermatologist) provided free consultation. People from prominent South Delhi locations such as South extension, Defence Colony, Jor Bagh, Neeti Bagh, Gulmohar Park, and adjoining areas attended in huge numbers.
Dr. Harleen Gandhi Kalsi, a leading cosmetic dentist, strongly believes in prevention and health education. She has started a health camp drive “Health For All – Promoting Healthy Generations”. She diagnosed hundreds of patients. It was observed that almost 60% people had gum problems and they were not aware. The other common problem was of cavity. Poor oral hygiene and improper dietary habits are the biggest causative factor.
Such awareness camps are essential to change the outlook of people. After all, “Knowing the problem is the first step to find a solution to the problem”.
