Killeen, TX/2018: Expert assistance and individualized tutoring have been shown to improve performance of students in subjects like math. The Killeen Independent School District offers assistance to the students by providing free math tutoring at its Math Center.

The school district provides excellent academic opportunities to students from Central Texas communities of Killeen, Harker Heights, Nolanville and Fort Hood. It aims to help students reach their maximum academic potential by providing the best resources to assist and guide them. A team of skilled and dedicated individuals is employed at the school district to ensure safe & orderly campuses, rigorous curriculum and well organized extra-curricular activities.

It comprises of a number of elementary, middle & high schools, 4 special campuses, an Art Career Center and an Early College High School. The school district offers International Baccalaureate programs, advanced placement, dual enrollment courses, High School STEM Academy, a Leadership Academy, and a Middle School STEM Academy.

Free math tutoring

Free math tutoring is being offered for the period August, 2018- May, 2019 at the Killeen Independent School District to students in grades 5-12. The students are provided assistance with their homework, individualized tutoring, assistance with preparation for STAAR & EOC and help in understanding difficult math concepts & math fact fluency.

The tutoring timings are 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, while the classes are held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturdays. However, transportation services are not available and commuting of students to and from the center will be the responsibility of parents.
