Illegal worker jailed *********************      A Vietnamese illegal worker was jailed by Shatin Magistrates’ Courts yesterday (November 10).      During operation “Twilight” conducted on November 8, Immigration Department (ImmD) investigators raided a restaurant in Sha Tin. A Vietnamese female, aged 25, was arrested while working as a kitchen worker. An employer suspected of employing the illegal worker was also arrested and the investigation is ongoing.      The illegal worker was charged at Shatin Magistrates’ Courts yesterday with taking employment after landing in Hong Kong unlawfully and remaining in Hong Kong without the authority of the Director of Immigration. Illegal worker jailed *********************      An Indian illegal worker holding a recognisance form was jailed by Shatin Magistrates’ Courts yesterday (August 11).      During an anti-illegal worker operation conducted on July 11, Immigration Department (ImmD) investigators raided a restaurant in Ap Lai Chau. One Indian male, aged 50, was arrested while working as an odd-job worker. Upon identity checking, the Indian male produced for inspection a recognisance form issued by the ImmD, which prohibits him from taking employment.
