Hitachi High-Tech Announces New Production Facility for Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment in Kasado Area

Hitachi High-Tech Corporation (“Hitachi High-Tech”) today announced that it will construct a new production facility in Kasado Area of Kudamatsu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, with a view to increasing production capacity of etching systems for its semiconductor manufacturing equipment business, with production scheduled to begin in FY2025. The new facility will double production capacity through digitalized and automated production lines, in order to cater to the ever-increasing demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Hitachi High-Tech Corporation (“Hitachi High-Tech”) today announced that it was selected as Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating in the Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) assessment performed by CDP, an non-governmental organization headquartered in the UK that conducts global environmental surveys and discloses information. The companies chosen for the Leaderboard in FY2022 were those that made the top 8% in rankings for supplier engagement strategy. Gotion High-tech and VinES Vietnam base break ground at a joint venture battery factory

November 18, the joint venture battery factory by Gotion High-Tech and Vietnam VinGroup was officially opened in Vietnam Ha Tinh Economic Development Zone. The project is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 5GWh, scheduled to be in operation by the end of 2023, which is the first LFP battery factory in Vietnam. The factory was jointly invested by Gotion High-tech, and VinES (a member of VinGroup). Gotion High-tech holds 51% of the shares and VinES holds 49%.
