Cluster of Candida auris cases in Kwong Wah Hospital **************************************************** The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority: The spokesperson for Kwong Wah Hospital made the following announcement today (February 7):        An 87-year-old male patient in a medical ward of Kwong Wah Hospital (KWH) was confirmed to carry Candida auris on February 4 without signs of infection. In accordance with the prevailing guideline, KWH commenced contact tracing and found two more male patients (aged 71 and 82) who stayed in the same cubicle carrying Candida auris without signs of infection. Cluster of Candida auris cases in Caritas Medical Centre ******************************************************** The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:      The spokesperson for Caritas Medical Centre (CMC) made the following announcement today (September 8):         An 89-year-old female patient in a medical rehabilitation ward of CMC was confirmed of Candida auris infection on September 6. She was transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital for isolation treatment with stable condition.             In accordance with the prevailing guidelines, the hospital is conducting the contact tracing. The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:      The spokesman for Kowloon West Cluster made the following update today (March 26) regarding patients confirmed to be Candida auris and Carbapenemase-Producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) carriers:               According to the admission screening results of Caritas Medical Centre (CMC) and Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), two female patients, aged 95 and 71 respectively, who were earlier admitted to North Lantau Hospital (NLTH), were confirmed as Candida auris carriers while not having signs of infection.
