Health Canada is proposing changes to its fee structure associated with Health Canada’s post-market regulatory activities with respect to pesticides (in other words, the annual charge). The proposed changes are being brought forward to more accurately reflect the costs for Health Canada’s regulatory activities on pesticides, while also ensuring that appropriate mitigation measures are in place to minimize the economic burden on small businesses and enable continued access to certain pesticides. Pest Management Regulatory Agency 15 May 2023 The Proposed Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) consultation document for pyraziflumid (PMRL2022-02), published on 28 February 2022, proposed several import MRLs on the following commodities: bushberries (crop subgroup 13-07B) at 6.0 ppm; caneberries (crop subgroup 13-07A) at 4.0 ppm; stone fruits (crop group 12-09) and raisins at 2.0 ppm; small fruits vine climbing, except fuzzy kiwifruit (crop subgroup 13-07F) at 1.5 ppm; pome fruits (crop group 11-09) at 0.4 ppm; and tree nuts (crop group 14-11) at 0.03 ppm.
